Keith Croshaw - Sourcing Inspiration
The article entitled “Sourcing Inspiration,” is an interesting delve into our subconscious to explore what truly inspires human beings, or any being for that matter. Harrison takes an interesting position in this piece by more or less just showing how different artists channel their creative juices and create one cohesive idea. She begins going of on interesting explorations of various artists’ examples of their thought processes and how they are affected by our ego and other emotions.
There are some interesting periods where the author Jan Harrison goes a little bit off the deep end when she starts talking about animals with similar emotions as humans… or does she? The article is very interesting and really makes me take a step back and analyze what types of things affect me in my creative process. For the most part the article hasn’t really changed my process but is has made me expand my horizons to look further for inspiration.
